Abstract

Due to its wide operational range, the turbine-based combined cycle engine requires a variable inlet. The variable inlet adjusts the flow rate of the air to generate the desired thrust. Inadequate airflow control through the intake could result in the engine failing to generate the required thrust or start. Therefore, accurately determining the required mass flow rate is crucial when designing combined propulsion system aircraft. This study presented a method for setting the required flow rate for designing the turbine-based combined cycle. From the previous study's aircraft specifications, the required thrust and flow rate were derived and validated by comparing them with previous research.

터빈 기반 복합 사이클 엔진은 광범위한 운용 범위로 인해 가변형 흡입구가 필수적으로 요구된다. 가변형 흡입구는 엔진이 원하는 추력을 발생시키기 위해 흡입되는 공기의 유량을 조절한다. 흡입구를 통한 공기 유량이 적절하게 조절되지 않으면 엔진이 원하는 추력을 발생시키지 못하거나 시동이 불가할 수 있기 때문에, 복합 추진 비행체 설계 시 요구되는 공기 유량을 정확히 파악하는 것이 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 터빈 기반 복합 추진 시스템의 설계에 필요한 요구 유량 조건의 도출 방법을 제시하였다. 선행 연구의 비행체 제원을 통해 터빈 기반 복합 추진 시스템의 요구 추력과 요구 유량을 도출하였으며, 선행 연구 결과와의 비교를 통해 검증을 수행하였다.
